Aim

To get a clear understanding of the role, and identify/practise key skills for effective supervision. Looking at four areas of supervision, the individual, the team, the task and the customer. To give the participants the skills to a lead a team.

Target Audience

Those who have recently been promoted to a first line management, Team Leader or supervisory role, and have had no formal training on the subject before.

Prerequisites

This course assumes no prior training within this subject.

Course Objectives

At the completion of this course participants will be able to:

 Clarify participants role within the company  Identify the key skills required for effective supervision  Develop personal action plans for future self-development  Understand the need to motivate team and how to achieve this  Employ the relevant leadership style for the situation  Present themselves and their team in a professional manner  Understand the training options available to benefit their team
